The cable car runs 7 km from the middle of town to the summit, over the 99 hairpin bends of the mountain road. On top: the cliff-hanging walkways, the glass skywalk if you dare, and the escalators down through the mountain to the natural arch of Heaven's Gate and its 999 steps.

Fear of heights?
The glass walkway is optional and short; the rest of the paths have solid railings. The cable car is the part people underestimate.
